10 Days to Go! Overnight Shakedown Ride to Coeur d’Alene

All the gear lists are complete, bags are packed and we are pretty much ready. We went on a practice run from Spokane to Coeur d’Alene ID on the very scenic and pretty flat Centennial Trail. Jeff Cohen joined our intrepid foursome and we are overnighting at Jo’s house. She is practically a Warmshowers host! A warm house, inviting backyard to pitch a tent and a hearty spaghetti dinner. Bill's Story

I am super excited to start this journey as a transition to retirement. My retirement date is May 13 and we depart to Norfolk, VA on May 17. This is exactly what my soul is calling for as my brain disconnects from 35 years of clinical lab thinking and allowing me to slowly open my mind to life's next chapter. I am looking forward to new adventures and likely many hours of solitude while peddling through the many miles ahead.
